Åsa Norberg
What are the people doing, playing?, 2009

Åsa Norberg’s artistic practice takes as its starting point an interest in our physical environment as a reflection of a society’s values and endeavours. Her drawings of walls/screens, sceneries and patterns picture urban and interior space as a stage for different scenarios of the mind to take place and different roles to be enacted. Her installations and drawings display architecture and design deeply rooted in a certain period of time and with that the history it carries. And at the same time her work points toward a more abstract room more similar to that of a state of mind.

Åsa Norberg lives and works in Göteborg, Sweden. She is also co founder of the art space Hit.
